Introduction:
The medical profession is a challenging field that requires a lot of hard work and dedication to succeed. As a medical professor, I have seen many students come and go, and I have witnessed firsthand the struggles and triumphs they experience on their journey to becoming healthcare professionals. One of the crucial assignments I give to my students is a reflection paper. This paper allows them to take a step back and think about their goals, skills, and how they fit into the healthcare industry. In this answer, I will address three questions related to the reflection paper.

a) What I have learned about myself from this assignment:
As a professor, I often forget that students have their unique struggles and experiences. The reflection paper has taught me to be more empathetic towards my students and to understand their journey better. I have learned that some students struggle to find the motivation to pursue healthcare as their career, while others lack the self-confidence to succeed. However, I have also learned that many students have a genuine passion for healthcare and are willing to work hard to achieve their goals.

b) What kinds of people are successful in the health career I am considering (Nursing):
Nursing is a challenging but rewarding career that requires excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Successful nurses are compassionate, patient, empathetic, and able to handle stressful situations calmly. They must also be able to think on their feet and adapt to changing situations quickly. Nursing is a profession that requires a lot of teamwork, so individuals who are good at working collaboratively with others tend to do well in this field.

c) My self-reflection on how well-suited I am for this career and if I am on track to get there:
As a medical professor, I have always been passionate about the healthcare industry, and Nursing has always been a career that has interested me. Reflecting on my skills, I believe I have what it takes to succeed in this field. I am empathetic, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills. However, I also know that Nursing is a challenging and fast-paced profession that requires a lot of hard work and dedication. I am committed to putting in the effort to succeed and believe that I am on track to achieve my goals.
