Annotated Bibliography Instructions: Based upon your choice of topic, perform scholarly research at the library. Research Librarians can help you with electronic databases to find authoritative resources to use in developing your annotated bibliography. There are a number of business-related databases for scholarly research. You are required to find a minimum of 20 and no more than 25 authoritative resources from the extant literature to delineate within your annotated bibliography. Provide one brief paragraph at the beginning of the document to state the topic, research purpose, research questions, or hypotheses (i.e., what the research paper and associated MS PowerPoint presentation will be about). What is an annotated bibliography? An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, journal articles, and authoritative documents. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 100 words or less) descriptive and evaluative paragraph known as the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. This completed document will serve as the basis for your subsequent APA Research Paper. Students will prepare a detailed MS PowerPoint presentation. Due to time constraints of the compressed mini-mester and this being a Directed Study, the presentation will not be delivered in class.   At least 25 or more slides of content not counting the title page or your end slides where you list your References. Use MS PowerPoint only and no other format. In accordance with APA requirements, prepare a References list and insert into your presentation as your last slides. Direct quotes or paraphrased materials must have parenthetical citations inserted at the point at which you use materials from your resources. In other words, you must put parenthetical citations on every individual slide where you actually use materials from your authoritative resources to avoid plagiarism. Your MS Word document will be a minimum of 25 pages of actual content in APA format (i.e., double-spaced with one-inch margins all around) and not to exceed 35 pages maximum. You will provide the following: Title page, Abstract with Keywords, (Yes, APA spells this as one word). Table of Contents, (Optional based upon how complex your paper is). your actual research content, discussion and/or literature review – divided into major headings and subheadings, as appropriate; References, which appears on a separate page at the end of your document, but prior to any Appendix or Appendices.  You may provide artwork/graphics, exhibits, figures, graphs, and tables; insert these at the end of your document as an Appendix (singular) or Appendices (plural). You must perform scholarly research to complete this assignment. You MUST have evidentiary support from the extant literature to develop your formal topical paper. Its strongly recommended at least three (03) parenthetical citations per page and at least 20 or more authoritative resources (including your textbook) as the minimum expectations for this paper. Utilize the identified resources from your annotated bibliography as a basis for your research paper. If you completed the annotated bibliography process correctly, it will make the research paper much easier to design and develop. Note that it is not necessary to use all of the listed sources from the annotated bibliography. Conversely, you may want to supplement that original list with other new and interesting sources, which you have discovered subsequent to the annotated bibliography process.
